Season's Greetings, errantbehavior!

Welcome to the final FastDay Friends newsletter for 2015! We'll be taking a little break over the holidays but will return with more great content in the New Year. Of course, if you're in need of a FastDay fix, the FastDay forum will be open as always and full of fasting friends to support, encourage and entertain you!

We hope you're all pleased with the progress you've made this year, whether you've just started, are a maintainer or are trying to lose. If you're having trouble staying on the wagon, don't forget we've got a great one-to-one coached fasting program through Ways of Eating if you need some extra, personal support.

We wish you a wonderful holiday season - it only comes once a year, so relax and enjoy the festivities!

Did you know...?

We are bombarded with dietary advice from all directions. At FastDay we don't tell you what to eat, instead we try to explain some nutritional principles so you can eat mindfully.

10 tips for festive fasting

It's the season to "eat, drink and be merry" as many call it, but if you've been losing weight you probably don't want to undo all that hard work...

You don't need a diet, you need a healthy Way of Eating for life!

Caroline and I have been working with Ways of Eating to perfect our online course in intermittent fasting.

Our new App has also just launched for iOS and Android devices, so you can sign up and get started right away with your very own coach.

Kerrie's 5:2 transformation is such an inspiration!

"A combination of ceasing to have my teenage metabolism alongside not being force to exercise (and discovering beer!) meant I've been some form of overweight all my adult life.  But as I got older the weight just crept on and on as the years went by.  By the time I started, I had a BMI of nearly 35 and a pelvis that just couldn't support me anymore..."

Turkey Red Flannel Hash with Beans

260 calories per serving

I don't know about you but over the holidays I often don't feel like having a big meal or spending a lot of time cooking, especially in the days immediately after a big Christmas Day dinner...

This is a fabulous way to use up leftover turkey and a very filling meal that is perfect for a fast day or to finish an indulgent day of festivities with a low calorie meal.

Hello everyone I'm 30 yr old male just discovered 'IF' and been going at it for about 5 days now for most of my life I've struggled with my weight due to the love of food n eating it but I'm at a point in my life where I really want to make a change,.I've done a lot of reading no watched a lot of videos on utube about other ppl n the success they've had with it so decided to give it a try n I must say that I'm liking it so far,I've come to realize that hunger is a state of mind n that when I feel hungry I cud push thru it no need to eat at every sign of it, for the first 3 days I did a 18-6 n faired pretty well, but I decided to see how long I can actually go n how much I can push my body so I'm on about 40 hours now fasted and I still feel good not really hungry at all, just drinking a lot of water but I will eat something by 12 today but now I know what my body capable of I'm not saying it's been easy becuz there were times the feeling got just a oil extreme but I pushed thr
u for a lil bit n the hunger pangs went away, I must admit I'm a person who loves food so the fact that I cud do this proves to me there is nothing that can't be done if you want it bad enough,.hope everyone else here sticks it out becuz I know it'll be greatly rewarding in the end. Hope this was a lil bit of encouragement, I'm about to go take a walk now while I'm in the fasted state so enjoy everyone....
